One Night Stands

A digital series dedicated to fully improvised music, born out of musical encounters with no tomorrow. On the one hand, I wanted to be able to record fresh encounters alongside very free jazz, with all the risk that entails but also all the spontaneity that can emerge from it. On the other hand, to create a balance with all the musical projects in which I’m already involved and which are spread out over time, I wanted to leave room for very short relationships. Hence the name One Night Stands – “one-night affairs”.

Here the aesthetic will be resolutely connected to the scene known under the labels free jazz, avant-garde, and libertarian jazz. Sometimes acoustic, sometimes including electronics. Sometimes live, sometimes in the studio. Depending on the situations, the guests, the venues, the encounters… a project that is flexible on every level.
